We’re often through many processes but sometimes we forgot for the basic line just because we want creates an extremely wonderful design. We bring techniques for maximum but we must remember that everything are through by process.

1. When getting an idea, write it

Idea can come from everywhere and everything. You’ll never know what time, from who, where, and how you can get it because it comes unpredictable. So it will better if you keep a small notes or sketchbook everywhere you go to anticipate the idea.

Write it, so you can’t forget it. You can write some points that will remind you about your thought before.

2. When you write it, come explore it

For some reason, you must get a research time. More sources, more information, more correspondents, will make you rich of data. And depend on this truth objective data you will get easier when you try to develop it in the next step.

But remember to get information related to your target audience, with the right demographic, psychographic, geographic, etc.

3. When you explore it, see the potential

Everything comes by a cause and effect, so if there is an issue, there will be the solution even it is hidden in some outlook. Looking at this matter, you must think wisely. For easy, just search the strength, weakness, opportunity, threat of an object, and compare it with competitors.

For this step you’ll know what thing that already exist and thing that isn’t exist yet. You can do thing that isn’t used before but you can just do the same thing too but remember to make it advanced enough.

4. After seeing the potential, delivered it to visual

Your data are enough and you have know what you will do and for what. So now you must to do the next step and let your pen or pencil scratch on a paper. Draw everything you’ll need and improve it day by day. Never say enough if you’re still feel that your visual aren’t good enough.

5. After you have done with your visual, finished it

Make it perfect with your final touch, even it is a package, or cover or plastic. Make it perfect to be presented to audience (or maybe your client first). If you make it well so your final will look good but if you’re lazy to finish it maybe your final look aren’t good enough when comparing with your perfect finishing. Just take a little time to bring it like a diamond.

6. Remember you mustn’t get drop before finish

When you get desperate with your ordinary idea and feel there is someone that ever do the same with you, try to explore it a lot and make it advanced because there is nothing new under the sun. Things that you can do are make it advanced and see with the different viewpoint.

When you are lazy to write and develop it, it is just an idea. Some says, idea that never developed is just an idea, not an innovation. It looks like a dream, that never real and touchless. Your duty for becoming a designer is your innovation for the entire world. You can’t just think the idea and didn’t grow it to the real world. Let’s just say it is a baby, you must grow it to become a kid, teenage, and then adult.

7. Enjoy your journey

When you come to bored and don’t know you must do for a while, just look on your previous step and try to think in the same thought and get your mood better. Everything must be done with happiness so thing that we do is looking good too.
